Foscoe Fishing Company had its beginnings in the mid 1980’s but was originally called High Country Fly Fishing. It has always been an Orvis dealer and the guide and outfitter service has always been Orvis Endorsed. It was the first high profile fly shop in the area offering gear, guides and schools.

After several years it changed hands and became Foscoe Fishing Co. and Outfitters and has been ever since. Scott and Dottie Farfone--avid fisherman and hunters--had the opportunity to purchase the shop and guide service in 2005 and have continuously expanded the services and equipment choices. We are a family owned and operated business and are proud of the products and services we offer. In addition to being a full line ORVIS dealer we also offer SAGE, R.L. Winston, SIMMS, BAUER, GALVAN, RIO, Cloudveil, FISHPOND, Mountain Khakis, Costa del Mar, William Joseph and SHIMANO gear. We also have a great selection of gifts and books related to fishing.

We have always emphasized exceptional customer service both in the shop and on the water. We are all extremely experienced anglers and are passionate about fishing. All of the guides are full time professionals that take their jobs very seriously; they are just as interested in putting you on fish as teaching you new techniques and strategies. We as guides enjoy introducing you to the sport and equally enjoy taking out the veteran fly fisherman.

We are especially excited about our new location which will be a new log home located on the Watauga River just a mile down the road from where we are now, our expected completion is early winter of 2008. The new shop will be our permanent location and have a classroom offering fly fishing schools and fly tying classes. We will have access to the Watauga River out the back door and will offer an even wider variety of products.
